NEW LEVEL IN THE MINE, NEW WEAR TRACKS FROM SABEL

–At last main level 1045 in the Kiruna mine,here for instance we have used wear parts from Sabel in four 1,8 m diameter and 45 meter long shafts.

– The quarried ore falls down at 45 degrees to a compensating pocket from which it is led over to the existing hauling plant which lifts it up to the refinement plant above ground in so called skips or ore lifts. These skips are also partly lined with Ni-Hard from Sabel.

– The wear parts from the Lidköping foundry are ideal for use where the ore flows along and wears the bed. We started using Ni-Hard at the beginning of the 70´s when it was a quite new material, so we have both extensive and excellent experience of it.

– LKAB often make larger investments every 20 years and it is on these occasions that Sabel is one of our major suppliers.

– At the new tranport level KUJ 1365, Sabel wear plates in thickness 50-100mm are used. These plates has cast in lifting nuts for ease of handling and mounting.

– We work together extremely well. Sabel is a serious company which is always willing to stand by us, not the least if we have some kind of problem.

– Another advantage Sabel has is that we have retained most of our patterns which means that new items can be produced very quickly. Sometimes we have to replace a wear track which has been blown up. A short delivery time is important at times like that.
