PRODUCTS FROM SABEL

Area of usage

Mining industry
Ore bunkers, chutes, skips, ore dressing plants and crushing plants. For use as wear plates, mill linings, feeder pipes and wear segments.

Quarrying
Plates for jaw crushers and rotary crushers are our largest products. The plates which crush the rock and ore can weigh up to four tons each.

Pulp industry
Wear plates, piping and segments.

Iron and steel works
Bell-type distributing gear and wear plates.

Rolling mills
Guides and strippers.

Waste disposal
Piping for large refuse systems, for example residential areas or airports.

Material transport

Pumps, piping, wear plates for feeders and cyclones.

Our products vary in size and design from a few kilograms up to four tons.

REINFORCED WEAR PARTS

In order to strengthen hard and in some respects fragile materials, a number of different reinforcing methods have been developed. These are used when stresses are expected to be high on the wear components. If cracks should appear in the material the reinforcement will hold the components together until they are worn out or until a planned change can be made. Reinforcement methods have considerably broadened the area of usage for this type of hard materials.

Steel reinforcement: Used for heavy cast materials (thickness more than 50 mm), for example heavy wear plates, wear plates in crushers and mill linings.

Plastic reinforcement: Used for thicknesses under 50 mm, for example wear plates and piping.

OWN PATENTS

Wear parts are products subjected to continuous development. Sabel has a department with a well equipped laboratory which has developed and is developing a number of own patents.

We are working first of all to successively improve our current range, however we are of course, also designing completely new products. Plastic and steel reinforced wear metals are areas where our own patents have improved a number of existing products, the cast materials now being able to withstand larger stresses thus increasing their areas of usage.

Another example is an alloy which is shock-cooled and then crushed to be used later as material to repair mining wear tracks.
